Workshop will be conducted via Zoom

Drawing session will begin with short poses of the live model and will focus on the gesture and movement of the figure. Contour line, hatching and crosshatching will be included in the longer poses. All levels welcome.

Supplies are not included. It is suggested that participants have their preferred paper and drawing medium (for example: pencil, charcoal pencil, marker or pen) for the workshop.

Since 2000, ANDREA GELLER has been studying the figure in motion, often placing the figure both in landscapes and interior space. Color is an important element in her work. Geller is inspired by both the Bay Area Figurative Movement and Expressionism. The artist received a BFA from Parsons School of Design and an MFA from William Paterson University. Andrea Geller is a professor at Bergen Community College and an adjunct professor at William Paterson University, both in NJ.

Emerge Gallery carries a wide selection of Andrea Geller's work on Artsy.net, including the solo exhibition Bath Series that features 26 works portraying the stages of an intimate bathing ritual: from preparation, immersion in the bath, to emergence.
